Beyond Tech Talks - Making the Most Out of an Event
9:20 - 9:50 AM ET ; Epic Hall Room
Attending events such as large conferences is fascinating, but it can also be intimidating due to the thousands of people and the tens of concurrent sessions held in place. This can feel overwhelming, which makes it challenging to take the right steps to network. This is especially the case for first-time attendees and folks who have backgrounds in marginalized communities, leading to results such as imposter syndrome. In this session, Aayush and I will share some of our insights and experiences on how we built our networks, how we leveraged cultural diversity and made the best out of the past events.
This session would encourage folks to take their first step forward and engage in conversations rather than pushing themselves back. We will be sharing experiences from our first KubeCon, some of the best practices, and a list of Dos and Don’ts at a conference.
