NGINX Ingress Controller as an API Gateway for Kubernetes

Kubernetes applications consist of many microservice API’s all communicating with each other. How do you provide security and other services to these APIs? An API Gateway of course! We’ll deploy an NGINX Plus ingress controller and layer API Gateway functionality one step at a time:
Proxy API: Configure TLS and host and path routing
Security: Enforce OpenAPI schema
Security: Authorization via JWT validation
Security: Ensure fair-use by rate-limiting requests
Observability: Watch API requests and troubleshoot problems
